Unas fotitos antiguas

Me fui de vacaciones un par de semanas, pero no paré de hacer cositas de fieltro, estuve preparando un pedido del que ya colgare fotos muy pronto.

Hoy queria poner un par de fotos de un collar que le hice a una amiga por su cumpleaños. Me gusta mucho como combina el fieltro con las cuentas de madera.

Use tres tonos de naranja en las "hojas" de fieltro, no se si aprecia en la foto.

I went on vacations for a couple of weeks, but it didn't stopped me of working on felt!! I was finishing an order, the pictures very soon!!

But today I wanted to show you a couple of pictures of a necklace I made for a friend's birthday. I love how felt looks with wooden beads. What do you think?

I used three tones of orange felt, I don't know if you can notice it.

en casa / at home

Ya entregué el pedido para el bautizo. No puedo negar que me dio pena cuando vi a todos los bebés en su cajita listos para irse. Pero me han contado por ahí que a todos les gustaron mucho y cada uno de ellos tiene un nuevo hogar :)

I already delivered the order for the baptism. I can't deny that I felt sorry when I saw all the babies packaged and ready to leave. But someone told me that everybody liked them and now everyone has a new home :)

casi terminados /almost finished

Los bebés del encargo están casi terminados, algunos de ellos esperan el viaje durmiendo una siesta y otros cotilleando. :)

The babies for the baptism are almost finished, some of them are waiting for the trip taking a nap and others chit chating. :)

días de calor

Estos días hace mucho calor en Madrid y solo se puede salir a dar un paseo temprano en la mañana o al caer la tarde, así que mientras mi pequeña duerme la siesta me siento en el sillón a ver la tele y a coser un poco, que tengo un pedido de broches con forma de bebés que servirán de recuerdo en un bautizo.

It's very hot in Madrid this days, and you can take a walk only early in the morning or at the sunset, so, while my little girl is taking a nap, I sit down in my couch and sew, I'm working on an order for a baptism, a lot of happy babies (some of them very sleepy)

Me gustan mucho, cada uno parece tener su propia personalidad.

I like them very much, each one seems to have their own personality.

las ideas van tomando forma

Algo que me costó mucho trabajo, aparte de pensar en el nombre, fué el de escoger el tipo de letra y bueno, en general el diseño del empaque de los broches (prendedores).

One of the things that took me a lot of time, beside choosing the name, was choosing the font for the packaging of the brooches.

Las bicis ya toman forma, cada una es diferente, unas con flores, otras con corazones y otras con estrellas.

The idea gets' round anthe bikes are ready, each one is different, ones have flowers, others a heart or silver stars.

work in progress

Hace un par de semanas que empezé a preparar unos broches en forma de bici para un mercadillo en el participará la Asamblea Ciclista de Valladolid en los proximos dias. Iré poniendo algunas fotos de todo el proceso de trabajo.

A couple of weeks ago I started working in some brooches with the shape of a bike. I´ll be putting some pictures of the "work in progress"

Encontré en casa una bandeja pequeña para poder llevar mis cositas de coser por toda la casa, mientras me siento a ver la tele o mientras vigilo a mi pequeña.

I found at home a small tray where I can carry my felt, and my threads and needles all over the house, while I´m watching tv or keeping an eye over my little daughter.

Aqui, la primera parte, cortar la bici, decidir colores y empezar a coser!!!

Empezando

Por fin logre ponerle cabecera al blog, no es la definitiva, pero hay que comenzar por algo. De momento estoy cosiendo y cosiendo, espero pronto poder empezar a colgar fotos de los broches que estoy haciendo. Mañana me voy a la playa, y me llevo una cajita con hilos y fieltro, espero poder avanzar.

Finally I get started with this, the picture above is not the definitive, but I had to start with something. I speak spanish, and I know that my written english is not very good, but one of the goals of this blog is to do it in both languages (so, sorry for the mistakes...)

I'm sewing right now, and I hope to finish some felt brooches soon, so I can put some pictures of them. Tomorrow I leave to the beach and I'm taking some felt with me , I hope I can do a little of work.
